Review from Notes
A: Deep red burgundy seen through the refraction with a minimal chocolate head.
S: Smells like a spicy IPA. Peppery, with mainly pine notes and a bit of malt.
T: Not really chipotle, but a lot of pepper. Hoppy capsaicin aftertaste, but the hop lingers longest. Spice on the bottom of the tongue.
M: Quite coarse, almost like peppercorns.
O: Unique. It has the spice but it just seems like spicy hops. This was an excellent beer.

Part of the Flying Dog "Rarity Series" on-tap at Rustico in Arlington (Ballston)
A: Poured pretty much black, but with a fairly pronounced reddish hue once held up to a light source.
S: Roasted chile pepper... Lots of them!
T: Not sure what to make of this. I honestly thought the peppers would just add some spice to the dark roast, but hell, this was pretty much ALL peppers with some dark roast thrown in.
M: Peppery and not pleasant. However, this wasn't "Ghost Face Killah." The spiciness was limited which was a good thing.
O: I did not dig this at all. I prefer my veggies on a plate.
