On tap at the brewery, served very cold in a Nonic pint glass.
Look: Black, with a small off-white head that dissipated to a foam ring and left finely-bubbled lacing.
Nose: Dark roasted malt, chocolate.
Attack: Follows the nose, but just a bit weakly, though the flavor develops a bit more as the beer warms.
Finish: Nice bitterness to balance.
Mouthfeel: A little thinner than I would have expected, but perfect carbonation.
Overall: This is a very drinkable American Stout, just a bit thinner and not quite as full-flavored as I might have hoped; still, I'd be happy to order one again.
