Dark dirty copper color. Little, short-lasting head that leaves only an occasional spot.
Semisweet caramel aroma. Very low hop presence. It smells like an English Mild Ale.
The taste is closer to an English Bitter than a west coast IPA. There’s a strong caramel flavor up front although it’s not as sweet as the smell lets on. The hop bitterness is subdued until after the swallow where it seems to linger a long time.
