Thick, rich, earthy and malty, Southern Bitter is brewed with first-rate English grains and hops. A taste of the Sussex countryside.

On cask at The Dog And Bell pub in Deptford, London.
L: Clear, dark amber colour with a thin head that disappears quickly and leaves no lacing.
S: Powerful, long-lasting, English hops reminiscent of stewed black tea.
T: Malty with a pronounced leafy hop flavour. Very bitter.
F: Medium body, zero carbonation and very drying.
O: A traditional Sussex bitter. Flat, assertive and astringent. No holds barred. Crafted with care and with high quality ingredients but not my favourite style.
