Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler 10-31-20 for $2.33. Packaged in April; consumed 2-19-21. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured black with a nice brown head with the original pour.
Nose is mild roasted malts, leather, and whiskey barrel.
Taste is well done with the large malt base providing notes of chocolate and cherry. It finishes with a nice integrated barrel impartation of leather and whiskey that is well balanced.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and smooth.
Overall i am shocked that a $2.33 12 oz beer was well crafted! I fully expected a shot and a super sweet beer but this was well done!
