Erm, this one tastes like a watered-down stout. Dark, yes, roasted malts (traces of, yes) but all very watery. Easy to drink, yes, and the taste is not overwhelming but it just feels a bit awkward. Not terribly bad but you know that something is missing. Unlike a Session IPA, this is just simply thin. Guess the people in the UK like to chug these instead of soft drinks, no idea, but it’s almost like one. A weird soda pop.

Bottle. Very dark brown with decreasing dense head which provides some lacing.
Light aroma of caramel malt.
Tastes as per smell with a mild peaty backdrop.
Rather thin. Soft carbonation.
Described on the bottle as a Scottish beer with which I agree.
Not enough flavour or taste.

A: Dark, medium sized head which disappeared fairly quickly, left some lacing.
S: Malt, not too much else to report.
T: Basically followed the nose and added a small hit of dark chocolate.
M: Medium body, slightly watery texture.
O: A classic British session beer, tasted stronger than the low abv.

Relatively mild in taste, with some burn malt and toffee/ caramel feel. Low alcohol, so easy to drink.
