Christmas beer from FALSTER Bryghus. Dark Ale with red/brown nuances. Completely pure malt flavor that also gives a fine fruity acidity that fits perfectly with dishes where there is both sweet, fatty and sour. Intense and elegant for the Christmas menu, but certainly also for many of the heavy winter dishes.

Copenhagen 2/11 2024. 33 cl bottle from the brewery, Væggeløsevej, Væggeløse. Dark label in blue and black with a shining white Christmas Star.
Pours opaque, dark mahogany with a small off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a bit of fruity Christmas vibe and some bitter dark chocolate. Dark roasted malts. Brown sugar, toffee and caramel. Plums and raisins.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture. Almost fizzy.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness Aftertaste is bitter with a strong sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Nice and not too sweet Christmas beer.
