Can purchased at Pizza Wizard in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a light golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells spicy in a good way, with grassy and peppery hops, and a nice crackery malt thing.
I can indeed confirm that this is a treat when eaten with pizza. A crisp slightly hoppy pilsner and pizza is a natural combo, and the spiciness of the hop character helps cut through the richness of thick Detroit style pizza. There’s a nice crisp malt backbone here, and it’s super refreshing and drinkable. It finishes easy but slightly bitter, wanting you to take another sip.
This is exactly what it needs to be, and nothing more.
