This award-winning brown ale is composed of 8 malts, two hops, and 15 lbs of honey, making a beer with a nice balance between maltiness, honey, and hop flavors.

On tap at the 19th Hole in Canton Ohio into pint glass. Pours nearly opaque ruby red/brown color with a small dense and rocky light khaki head with good retention that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing on the glass, with some streaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of big honey, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, nuttiness, diacetyl, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper/pine/chocolate, and yeast earthiness. Light-medium pine herbal bitter finish. Medium carbonation and body. Very creamy/silky diacetyl finish; lingering sticky hop drying. No cloying sweetness. Minimal warming 7.1%. Diacetyl is obvious here but it makes it more like a toffee dessert nut brown in the end, very drinkable. Really liked this one.
