our story...

testing the water over the last 18 months with initial beers and experimenting with different brewing techniques and styles we discovered it was indeed viable for us to follow our passion and to properly launch Weekend Project Brewing Co. born out of a combined three decades of loving, drinking, brewing and immersing ourselves in global beer, weekend project is a blank canvas, a channel for us to showcase and share our deep routed passions and fascination for this beer culture.

our mission from the outset has been to perfect these styles as we develop the business, as well as build a superb team, full of experience to emulate the quality of the best beers we have enjoyed from around the world. we are so excited and proud with the team we have put together for launching this exciting new venture - a display of our aspirations and dedication to the brewery.

the team...

Weekend Project will be headed up by an experienced team, with a combined 30+ years of experience. we are also already making plans to build out our team further, developing roles in sales & fulfilment - but for now, this is the key team:

James Roberts (Owner) - managing production, recipe formation, beer release & design, James has over a decade of brewing experience and has operated businesses at various stages and sizes of breweries ranging from 500-14,000hl annual production. a focus on accessible keg beers and cask throughout this period has created a yearning to push the brewing boundaries and replicate the styles he has enjoyed so much away from home, especially from his travels to all corners of the USA.

William France (Brand Manager) - covering brand vision, sales & fulfilment, Will has an unwavering love for the brewing and beer scene in the UK & along the way has paid many a contribution to it, including being part of the founding teams of Port Street Beer House, IndyMan and Cloudwater, then moving on to work for the likes of Kirkstall, Hawkshead & Stone Brewing. Will has been a part of the UK craft beer movement from the very start, & has a deep understanding of the industry and fantastic vision for the direction of Weekend Project.
