When I had this on nitro-tap, I thought this beer was awful because it was on nitro. Well, I now know that it would not have been any good if it was served through a regular tap.
Thin head and boring brown body.
Slightly bacony aroma. It must be from the espresso.
Slightly coffee tasting, hardly any flavor. Espresso? Tastes like they used folgers. No aftertaste.
Surprisingly thin beer.
Considering Hiroyuki is supposed to be a hero of the Japan craft scene, I cant imagine why he would make such a boring brew.

Sampled on tap at Popeye in Tokyo. This was called a "Hiroyuki Special", named after Hiroyuki Fujiwara, an illustrator and fan of Popeye and beer.
This stout poured an opaque, black color with creamy tan foam. The smell was modest but was mostly sweet malt. The taste was malty (coffee, caramel, light roasted malt) and was sweet and creamy. The mouthfeel was creamy and smooth with medium-full body and low carbonation feel. The drinkability was good for this coffee flavored stout.
