Poured a black body with minimal head and an aroma that is mostly wood with some roasted malts. Maybe I had a bad batch but the sherry barrel aging and the beer itself don't go together; this lightly roasted malt coffee beer does not mingle well with some dark fruit/vinous sherry wine flavors. Basically comes across as a slightly sour slightly coffee beer and is not one I'll have again.

No head; purplish black body.
Wine, espresso, and cherries on the nose.
Palate is a touch sour (wine-like), with an oaky finish. Liqueur-like booziness. Roast coffee and powdered cocoa.
Thin, oily, and very easy to drink. Like a dark, low-ABV wine.

Pour is black with a foamy, bubbly, tan head. Nose is slightly chalky malt, olive pit, woody whiskey, moderately peaty. Taste is light, thinner, faint woodiness with a bit of earthy peat moss, fairly bitter roasted malt, slightly thin, some sugary dark fruit and raisin in back. Thinner body, soft carb, silky feel.
