330 mL brown glass bottle, capped. Purchased in Tsukuba, Japan (at Seibu). Stamped 03.16.13 on back label.
This stout poured a very dark mahogany/black with rich, fizzy, light brown foam that left some lace on the glass. The smell was caramel malt with a bit of dark roasted malt aromas, but was mild. The taste was malty: caramel and roasted malt flavors. The taste was somewhat sweet with some bitter coffee overtones. The mouthfeel was smooth and creamy with medium body and carbonation. The finish was more dry, with some hops present in the finish and aftertaste. This was a good stout, and was quite drinkable.

Ingredients: Malts, Hops.
Rich black color, tan head and chocolate and (oddly) soy sauce aroma. Dry chocolate palate. It is like drinking a bittersweet chocolate bar, with long lasting flavor. Flavor is medium intensity and body is light-weight. Something sour?
