Poured from a growler purchased and brought home 12/10. My wife picked this up for me while on a Christmas shopping trip, so I don't know much about it, beyond name. I've sent an email to the brewer and will update this when I get a reply.
Pours a crystal clear brown with a fluffy two finger head that falls quickly to a thin top of light foam. I'm amazed at how clear this beer is. According to the JBC website the majority of their beers are unfiltered so I assume this fits that bill as well, its just damn clear.
Smell on this is kind of missing, it is a malt dominated blend of caramel and a very slight fruitiness, but theres not a whole lot in the nose.
Taste is also very malty, it seems the ops have left the building on this one. I'm taking this as a winter warmer, though only by name. It seems more like an Octoberfest, though I cannot tell whether its a lager or ale, hopefully more from the brewer soon. I get a little breadiness on the taste too as well as a bit of a smokiness as well. I get a little bit of a wine-ness as well. The hops show up in the finish as a sight bittering with the swallow.
Mouthfeel is fairly light and crisp, though not necessarily thin.
This is a drinkable beer that is served well by its subtle flavors.
I'm really not sure where to place this one, it doesn't seem spicy enough to be that genre of winter warmer, nor does it come off as a complex malt bomb. I'm really hoping the brewer can shed a little light on this interesting take on a winter beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
