new operation in the old jagged mountain space, which really ebbed and flowed over the years in terms of being good or less good, but this place is already a marked improvement, even if the feel, with many years between visits, still seems about the same, downtown location, sort of hipster and almost busy decor but kind of homey in a bohemian sense, maybe a bit more to it all now that there used to be, and them have a coffee shop in it is new, on one side, lots of merch tacked up, its a fine vibe but the beer is what its about, and the beer is a lot better than it used to be, the big windows and spread out seating and view to the brewery area are all still nice features of the physical space. to me the beer felt both really inventive and also very well executed. diverse selection, which rules. i first had a coffee and honey amber which was sweet but impressive, nice coffee profile, cool malt build, fun flavors, just enough honey. i also liked the very hop ipa, one of my first tastes of this new varietal and its so clean, fruity, and distinctive, they did a great job keeping the base beer light and easy and simple enough for the vera to really be showcased wall, smart. finally the rice lager was also clean and professional, some appreciable rice and also hops in it, dry and easy drinking, insanely fresh, beautiful floral sort of summery drink, well crafted to be sure, the beer list was both interesting and diverse as well as delicious across the beers i had, which i think is further than the previous occupants ever really got. quality cold brew coffee on tap too. they were pretty busy when we were in but service was welcoming and friendly enough, not much chatter but thats okay. reasonably priced, super mellow cafe type vibes, modern and forward thinking beer, a definitely cool spot that is of immediate relevance, glad we made it in!

Welcome to the Denver beer scene! Visited on 2/28/25 for their grand opening.

Great turnout. Vibrant themes, good variety of in-house brews and recent collaborations. Indoor/outdoor seating with plenty of seats. Live music, board games - the works. I’m sure they’ll make plenty of adjustments during their first few months in order to hone in on what works best for their clientele, but I think they’re off to a good start and I wish them the best!

They also had food but didn’t try** looked good though.
