Vennture West takes over the space where Biloba Brewing brewed and poured its beer, and they have done well to change the decor to where you would never know. It's located in a part of Brookfield which feels like it's in the middle of a small village; quite the contrast to the original space in Milwaukee which is on a busy roadway in Uptown. A small counter at the window with 3 seats, the bar hosting several more seats along with a display of freshly baked goods and coffee making apparatus. Vennture is unique as it brews its own coffee alongside its beer.
Service is attentive at the bar, and there are multiple menus of both the coffee and beer available where you place your order. 12 different beers on-tap, and Vennture seems to have a things for the hazy and farmhouse ales. My visit was less heavy towards those styles though; Lil' Moe (dark Czech lager), Glow Up (dark saison), Kerry Me Home (Irish Red),, Latte for Ladies (coffee and berry Berliner), Patty O'Furniture (Irish Stout) were among the beer pouring, with some of the taps available to take home via crowler or can. Vennture makes some good beer, and both Lil' MOe and Paddy O'Furniture I tried were drinkable treats.
Vennture West is nearly the same drive for me as going to the original location (aka Vennture East). If you're looking for a quieter setting but desire to be in a lively crowd with good beer, Vennture West has you covered.
