I was served a pint from the tap at the brew pub in LaConner, Washington. The beer menu described the beer as follows: "Amber colored lager using German mats and Czech hops. 5% ABV".
A: It poured a bright amber body with a half-finger off-white head that receded fast to a ring around the collar. There was a spotty and leggy lacing.
S: It had a fruity lightly toasted malt aroma with a slightly floral hop smell.
T: The sweet malt base was heavily influenced by the flavor of sweet fruit (ripe pears and red apples). There was a tangy bite from the hops that along with the moderate carbonation gave the brew a lively presence on the tongue. It finished light and clean.
M: It was a light bodied brew with a clean finish and moderate carbonation.
D: This is a great session beer. No flavor overwhelms, it is light bodied, and it has a modest ABV.
