Ebony black with a sandy head. No, make that sandpaper for its color and near-rocky texture. Conversely, the body is nitro- smooth. The flavor has a breezy taste of molasses and black patent malt that makes a graceful exit. It shows casual contours overall but is well roasted with firm hop character and an airy, dry-roast fragrance.
I'm told this ale tops out at 10% ABV though it's far more mellow than such an aggressive platform might imply.
