Keegan Ales "Citra"
on tap at the brewery on 4 June 2016
Appearance: Typical APA appearance with a clear deep gold body beneath a creamy white head. Better than average head retention and lacing.
Aroma: Citrusy with some additional peach and apricot notes over a crackery/gently biscuity malt base.
Flavor: Follows the aroma. A solid bitterness balances it quite nicely. Finishes dry with lingering hops fading shortly.
Mouthfeel: Medium to medium-light and crisp.
Overall: Quite a respectable APA, and the Citra is a little bit of a change from the usual (or formerly usual) CCC line-up. Well done and highly drinkable!
