At Keegan Ales, we try not to over-complicate the beer making process. Our goal is to make a beer that is easy drinking and pairs well with good times. That’s why we are happy to introduce FUN, a single hop IPA that goes well with just about anything,
FUN highlights the flavors and aromas of the Citra hop which is known for tropical and citrus notes. With over 100 lbs of hops in each batch, this beer is incredibly juicy and meant to be enjoyed fresh. Look for a full bodied IPA that pours golden in color and is topped off with a thick white head of foam. We hope you enjoy this beer as much as we do. Have FUN. Play nice.

Golden amber, slight haze but not a NE murk type haze with a firm, dense super creamy head that hung in there and showed good lace cling.
Aroma is a mild citrus from it's single hop type, lemon zest and hints of tangerine.
Flavor is nicely balanced, good malt character with sharp and tangy hop notes mid swallow to finish.
Body is on the lighter side of medium and the finish is abrupt, clean and peppery dry.

A: The beer is quite hazy amber yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that left lots of specks of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of caramel malts and citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of caramel malts along with strong notes of citrusy hops. The hops contribute a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is a touch of dryness in the finish.
O: This beer is quite malty compared to most other IPAs in this day of age, but could make for an interesting change of pace if you want to go "retro".

too malty. not enough hops in the taste. definitely of the more old school variety, and it's rather drinkable, though nothing to go out of your way for.

Beer option at a winery. Not bad, but won't look for it again. So many better options these days.

Way too malty. Uninteresting hop profile. Imbalanced. Shallow.

snagged a pint of this at local fav Mexican joint, del fuego. pint glass of really underwhelming IPA....not in the sense that this is a bad beer, cause it is not. the problem is that the style of IPA has morphed and this is a solid old school IPA w light soft citric flavors. today, a great IPA is big bold juicy and overwhelming w flavor. solid brew but not one I would look for again.
