Had this one off at the Keegan Ales brewpub awhile back. Recently found the tasting notes.
A: Poured from the tap into a mason jar. Hazy lemon yellow in color presenting a frothy inch thick white head with cascading lacing and good head retention.
S: heavy buttery diacetyl, pepper, pine, lemon.
T: Very buttery with a light piny hop bitterness and slight lemon twang.
M: Full bodied, slick, oily.
O: Some tastes in the background made me think this beer could be pretty good without the off flavors, too bad it was muttled by the butter.
I did manage to finish it and wash it down with a tasty hurricane kitty.
