Enjoy a cool Forårsbryg when the beech has sprouted and feel yourself filled with the optimism and joy of spring.
Our Forårsbryg debuted in 2006 under the name Påskebryg, but we changed the name because spring, as you know, lasts longer than Easter. We still brew it according to the original recipe.
Forårsbryg is a light and easy-drinking ale. Full-bodied yet mild and fresh with a hint of citrus.

Copenhagen 18/2 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Søborg Hovedgade, Søborg. Yellow version of Holbæk's brewery usual design.
Pours opaque, murky golden yellow with a mid-sized, bubbly white head. Settles as thin, flimsy, almost transparent patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with light, fruity sour notes. Sweet, pale malts and bread. A bit of caramel and banana. Hints of yeasty basement. Light whiff of citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense. A fairly strong sweetness followed by a light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
A quite sweet take on a spring beer. A tad too sweet for my taste buds.
