Our Gylden Dessert Øl is a beer where you can easily forget everything you thought you knew about beer! Based on Holbæk Bryghus Høstbryg which we have given a very special and secret treatment. Sweet, strong and very full-bodied – almost without carbonation.
A beer for those who are not afraid to taste a beer that is more reminiscent of Sherry.
Gylden Dessert Øl is – as the name suggests – excellent for desserts such as ice cream with strawberries, fruit tarts or just as a nice sipping beer in small, measured quantities that can also be saved for the next day.

Copenhagen 4/3 2019. 50 cl bottle from Sidinge Gårdbutik, Vig. Pretty simple label in brown and yellow telling me that this is Edition 2 and appropiate as a liquor to the dessert.
Pours hazy, golden amber with no head. Not glimpse of a bubble. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, sugary and vinous. Sugar, honey, syrup, decaying apples, port wine and an abundance of sugar.
No carbonation. Medium thick, oily, tough, sticky texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet with no apparent bitterness present. Aftertaste is very sweet, liquor like with a light alcoholic burn. Lingering.
More a wine that a beer. If you like your dessert heavy sweet this might be for you.
