Our Black Jack is a fresh jet black porter with a light brown head. A generous amount of roasted barley is used here, giving it a black colour, a spicy aroma and a taste of licorice with a hint of vanilla. Despite the colour, it is a seductively soft and round beer, ending with a mild bitterness from the hops.
A beer for those who think that beers should be black and taste of licorice and coffee.
Black Jack is suitable for strong cheeses, chocolate cake and other goodies.

Copenhagen 25/11 2018. 50 cl bottle from Sidinge Gårdbutik. Very Sombre black and grey version of the Brewhouse usual design.
Pours opaque very dark brown with light beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is rich, sweet and dark. Brown sugar, hints of dark chocolate and smoke. Dry tobacco. Light notes of alcohol without it becoming harsh or unpleasant.
Soft carbonation. Thick, creamy, oily texture.
Flavor is intensely sweet followed by a more moderate but notable bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a fine bitter tang. Lingering.
Nice potent porter.
