Our Sort Dessertøl is made from No5 Schwarzbier subjected to our unique dessert beer technique, finished with a 3-month aging and maturation period. Soft, delicious and different.
A beer for those of you who have an inner beer hound, but still love Port wine for your dessert.
Sort Dessertøl is – not surprisingly – perfect for desserts like chocolate cake and blue cheese or in any other situation where you would offer Port wine.

Copenhagen 26/11 2018. 50 cl bottle from Sidinge Gårdbutik. Pretty simple label in two nuances of brown. Sticker telling me that the beer won some Food-prize in 2015.
Pours dark brown with no discernible head. Looks a bit like a glass of immensely flat Coca Cola. No lacing. Not even a hint.
The aroma reminds me more of Port Wine than beer. Exceedingly sweet and sugary. Lighter sour bitter notes. Vinous, boozy alcoholic odor.
No carbonation at all. Fat, oily, sticky, thick texture, Totally flat.
Flavor is heavy sweet. No bitterness but a glimmer of light sourness. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary.
Extremely vinous Barley Wine where I could get fooled into believing I am drinking a Port Wine. The ABV is more or less the same anyway. Peculiar experience.
