Maglesø Sommerbryg is named after the unmalted spelt, which has grown in fields down to Maglesøen throughout history. The landscape has so many beautiful and densely situated hills that the place is called “the West Zealand Alps”.
First brewed in 2006.
Maglesø Sommerbryg is a delicious thirst quencher. Enjoy it chilled in a quiet moment or in good company. Goes perfectly with fish and light summer dishes.
Added elderflower, lemon and orange.

Copenhagen 27/10 2018. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Nykøbing Sj. Holbæk Bryghus usual design in light green.
Pours slightly hazy yellow with medium-sized, dense, white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Almost no lacing.
Aroma is fruity and tart. Elderberry, tart berries, grass, sour notes of yogurt. Hints of decay and fermentation as the beer heats up.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery but lively and prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by and nicely balanced by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and quite fresh.
Well balanced but not overly exciting. But would work as a thirst quencher on a hot summer day.
