Cold drip coffee infused Stout. Ink is like the beer version of an espresso martini. Delicious, rich, roasty stout.

I purchased it at the source in November 2024 and drank it in March 2025.
L: The beer is jet black with ruby highlights around the edges. There's a thin cover of coffee-coloured head and some rings and froth left on the side of the glass. I can't see any carbonation through the beer's black veil.
S: The nose is rich toffee with a hint of iced coffee, the latter certainly not representing as proudly as expected in a coffee-infused beer. Some Christmas pudding dried fruit is also present.
T: The taste conjours my usual stout notes of rich, tangy malt, berries and cola. The coffee note is there, but as with the nose, it's muted, and perhaps because of this, there's also little of the roastiness generally found in a stout either. Even though the coffee is not as dominant as I'd have liked, the beer is quite delicious. One thing to consider is that the coffee would have come through more strongly if I'd let the beer live long enough to breathe and warm up, but it was simply too good to hold back on even without the advertised coffee. Still, there's not a whole lot of coffee for a coffee-infused stout, so the mark reflects that. As an aside, I looked back at my Untappd review of this beer from 2018, and it similarly notes a nice stout with a lack of coffee.
M: The beer is slightly thin in the body and on the finish, and the carbonation is higher than I expect in a stout (perhaps because of the thin body). It's not bad, but it's not what I expected.
O: This is a nice stout, but it's not quite delivering what it advertised and is marked down accordingly.
