Copenhagen 1/8 2021. 37,5 cl bottle from Ølkassen web-shop. Hoppe.beer's usual elegant label design in orange, black and gold.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Disappears after a few seconds leaving only a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, malty scent mingling with strong fumes of dark alcohol and wood. Brown sugar and toffee. Raisins and vanilla. Boozy rum.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, slightly greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a prominent presence of alcohol.Sourish undertone. Lingering. Finish is sweet and boozy.
Satisfying potent barrel boozer.
