This bold Imperial Stout has been matured for a minimum of 12 months in casks from the renowned Laphroaig distillery on the enchanting Scottish island of Islay. Laphroaig is famous for their intensely smoky whiskies, and this beer proudly bears the hallmark of that.
The dominant smoky character of Laphroaig creates an enchanting symphony with the sweet malt, emitting nuances of heavenly chocolate and caramel.

Copehagen 15/2 2023. 37,5 cl heavy glass bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Hoppe.Beers usual design in pale yellow, gold and light blue with a small drawing of a barrel to demonstrate that it is a barrel aged beer.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small, light beige head. Bubbly. Disappears completely leaving a dark tranquil fluid behind.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of dark fruits mingling with distinct, spicy, smoky scent of single malt whisky. Cane sugar, plums and raisins. Peat and smoky whisky.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a searing boozy bitterness lurking underneath. Smoky tang. Lingers for a while. Finish is infused with whisky. Boozy burn.
Like a watered down Highland whisky with a nice touch of peat and smoke.
