Copenhagen 16/5 2023. 37,5 cl heavy glass bottle from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Hoppy-beers usual label design with a bit of gold and turquoise.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big lightly beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, sugary odor mingling with a prominent scent of dark alcohol. Brown sugar in abundance. Toffee and caramel. Dark rum.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet boozy undertone Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry with a touch of alcohol.
Sweet, potent boozer with a bitter finish to balance things.
