Copenhagen 22/11 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Gymnasievej, Køge. Usual elegant Hoppe.beer design this time with an adventurous Gentleman with a monocle and a pipe. Apparently a Beer made in relation to a campaign against Cancer.
Pours hazy, pale yellow with a very small and very bubbly white head. Disappears fairly fast leaving a hazy orange lemonade behind. No lacing.
Aroma is malty sweet, fruity tart and with a light smoky odor. Sweet pale malts, tart Gooseberries and forest strawberries. Hints of smoke.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a sourish tang.
A strangely tart take on a Pilsner from Hoppe.beer. A bit too flat and watery for my taste but I certainly hope they manage to do good in the fight against Cancer.
