Belgian-inspired wheat beer. Brewed with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander seeds. The color is straw yellow, and the beer has a lovely thick head of foam. Fresh aroma of grain, coriander and orange peel. Sweet taste of bread and grain, with a slightly spicy aftertaste. The beer is cloudy due to the unmalted wheat, which characterizes this type of beer. The beer goes well with seafood, white fish, sushi, eggs and cheese, salads, and citrus-driven light dishes.
A true Ø-Bryg brewed at Thurø Bryghus with inspiration from the award-winning book VERA.

Copenhagen 16/9 2021. 33 cl bottle from Vinoble, Centrumpladsen, Svendborg. Ø-bryg's usual design focused on their logo with the big Ø with the silhouette of a bottle inside.
Pours murky amber wit a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with cooked vegetables and moldy towels. Sweet wheat, cauliflower and cooked asparagus. Notes of citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet with a sugary touch.
Quite sweet and not with much resemblance to a Belgian Wit. But I suppose that Vera likes it.
