Courtesy of Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA. For some reason I just could not derive a lot of enjoyment out of this Porter. Poured a ruby/black with a thin light beige head, with minimal lacing. Aroma is very toasty and maybe had some hops too. This is definitely one of the driest Porters I have had. Some toasted caramel but this is too far on the dry side for my tastes.

A well rounded brew. Not spectacular, however, not shameful. Burnt caramel notes. Bit of smoke, slightly bitter. Head dissipates into nothing, looks like a glass of dark brandy. Somewhat flat. Quinched my dirst.
