Forgotten Old Ale

Having this beer on-tap at the brewery. This beer draws a clear, medium to dark copper color with a very slightly tan/off-white head that’s about an inch thick when first drawn and served. Head settles to a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer’s surface along with good lacing. Aromas of some toasted, slightly caramelized, bready malts along with some fruity notes and a floral, earthy happy note. A very similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned toasted, bready, caramel malt sweetness that’s followed by the fruit notes of date and a bit of raisin. This is all rounded out with the earthy and floral hops that provide just the right type of bitterness here. Has a crisp, also smooth slightly chewy, full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean, just slightly dry finish. All of the flavors linger nicely on my palate for quite awhile after each sip. Quite an enjoyable beer here.
