An English style bitter with some Belgian yeast instead of English yeast. A rich and toasty brew with caramel and plum notes and parted by special B malt, bittered by Yakima Cheif’s Veteran’s Bled hops and enhanced by Czech Saaz hops.

Having this beer on-tap at the brewery. Served in a pint glass, this beer draws a medium to dark amber/copper color with a slightly tan/off-white head that’s about an inch thick when first drawn and served. Head settles to a fairly thick ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer’s surface along with decent lacing. Aromas of some toasted, slightly caramelized, malts along with a hint of plum and some herbal and earthy hops. A very similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned toasted, bready, caramel, malt sweetness followed by a nice presence of plum that gives way to som herbal and earthy hop bitterness. Has a crisp, also smooth, slightly creamy, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a slightly dry finish, and all of the flavors linger nicely on my palate in the aftertaste following each sip. And nice and it’s slightly unique take on this style.
