Clear sort of rusty amber colour with a good-sized head that showed some staying power and a reasonable amount of lace.

Nose is full of hops, pine and flowers. Interesting and appetizing.

Not as much fun to drink though. Thin and flat on the mouth. The hop bitterness comes across as stale somehow. Citrus notes. No real malt to speak off, no lingering presence.

Not bad, not great, but not interesting enough to make me want to go out and buy another can I'm afraid, inspite of its good looks and aroma.

Poured a deep amber colour with a small head and very little lacing. The nose is really average. However, there is some caramel malt in the initial taste but the aftertaste is crisp and decent. This would make a good session beer and it certain compliments deep fried food well, It has taste. Its certainly one of the best brews from the Alexander Keith's operation in Halifax.

Brewed specially to celebrate Alexander Kieth's 208th birthday and a freebee from the brewery.
Obtainable from a 24 of Keith's IPA as an extra, was a very nice bonus.
Light for an amber but some nice red hi-lites makes it easy to classify this offering.
The head was pinky finger thick but quickly left...leaving nothing but fluid.
Carbonation is minor.
Aroma has a strong floral aspect.
Body is medium/heavy.
Taste is very pleasing in that it has a slight sweetness to start but changes quickly to a hoppy offering but not overpowering and non lingering.
Would like to see this in the Keith's stable full time.
Well done...
