A longtime Maritime favourite, Oland Export was introduced in the early 1920s, and is cold-aged to deliver characteristic crispness. Using special North American hops for flavour and bitterness, and unique natural flavours from Labatt’s special top fermenting ale yeast, Labatt has created a crisp, clean and well-balanced ale.

Clear light gold with a decent head which lasts longer than most. Light cereal nose. Light malt body, very little real flavour but good crispness.

Oland export
On tap in Halifax, NS.
A mild and somewhat watery brew. Light spicy hops but these still dominate the minimal malts.
Overall: mediocre at best.

Special thanks to a good friend for the bottle as it is not one I would have came across on my own.
A- Pours a bright golden hue topped by a 1/2 finger white head with half-decent retention (better than I had anticipated) and a little bit of lacing on the glass.
S- Faint notes of Sweet Caramel malt and a grassy hoppiness.
T- Sweet Caramel malt and the hoppiness from the aroma but with a sort of odd flavour that I can't quite put in words. Not off-putting, just odd.. Slight skunkiness to the overall flavour
M- Medium body and Moderate carbonation, like a proper Blonde Ale.
O- I can say that I was honestly surprised by this beer; I was half expecting a flavourless dud of a beer but this brew isn't that bad at all. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to acquire it but I would certainly take it over a run-of-the-mill AAL (Bud,Coors, etc.).

The alright little brother to keiths, he's cool and all and can be pretty fun, but you'd rather be hanging out with his brother.

Decent ale, a little raspy but taste good. Can only drink about 8 before you feel really full like you ate an entire pizza.
