This was gifted to me in January 2025. I drank in April of that year.
L: Clear, golden yellow with a fluffy, bright white, centimetre-high head and lots of bubbles hurtling up the glass.
S: The nose is vinous, with grape skins and papaya. I couldn't detect any malt body in the aroma.
T: The taste follows the nose, with a vinous note, but the fruit tends towards cantaloupe and honeydew rather than the papaya I took from the nose. The fruit notes are there, but don't jump out of the glass like in many of the fruity/tropical pale ales available. The bitterness is slightly harsh, like when you accidentally bite into an orange pip.
M: The body is slightly thin with low levels of carbonation.
O: This is a tasty, drinkable pale ale, which perhaps lacks that certain tropical, fruity or dank punch that would have me coming back for more.
