Had this on tap at Roast House in Frederick. I am a fan of spurs so am looking forward to this. Decent looking beer with only a little horse blanket in the smell. As I typically do I enjoyed the taste very much. This is a beer I will certainly but again.

On tap at Bier Thirty in Bown tonight... Pours the expected black... dark tan head doesn't stick around long... no lacing.
Nose is a bit jarring.... acetic notes with dark roast that almost verges on coffee... Okay, but definitely nothing that makes me want to bury my nose in the goblet.
Flavor is really acetic... again the dark grains are there, but are pummeled by the vinegar notes... a little sweetness with warmth helps smooth things out a tiny bit. Not "bretty" at all IMO, but very sour.
Light body with good bubbles.
These sour black ales always seem like a mistake to me... some people will love it, but for me it is just too abrasive.
