Elysian Capitol Hill brewed bath number one, The Wise ESB, on April 19, 1996. Eight years later, batch #1000 came out of the same Capitol Hill brewery and introduced (we think) the first ever Imperial Pumpkin Ale. At the time the beer was aptly named Millennial but is now more familiarly known to the pumpkin-crazed as The Great Pumpkin Imperial Ale. Batch #2000, a ramped up version of our Jasmine IPA, Imperial Avatar, was brewed in 2009 and only five short years later; in July 2014, batch #3000 hit the mash tun. Dubbed The Beer 3000 (a nod to the infamous Late Night with Conan O'Brian skit), this beer is a pale ale, fermented with American Ale yeast in the primary and finished with Brettanomyces Bruxellensis in the secondary, that has been maturing for the last eight months. It's time, once again, to look into the future.

Brewed with Brett bruxellensis in the secondary, but American ale yeast in the primary according to the brewer. This has been maturing for eight months. On tap at Elysian Fields.
Hazed golden color with decent foam in the tall tulip. Malty and wheaty tasting with a slilght sweetness. Quite brisk and tangy on the tongue. There's a mineral taste and some aromatic that reminds me of lavender. A tasty and intriguing brew.
