I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the Elysian Fields location. There's another Raconteur in the system for Elysian, but that's listed as a 7% porter -- this incarnation is definitely a dark lager, however.
Appearance: rich dark brown hue with little to no haze and a thin layer of frothy tan foam. Not bad.
Smell: lightly caramelly malt with just a hint of smokiness, it seems. Mild but not bad.
Taste: nice malty character with some caramel and some toast. Bitterness is low but present. A classic dark lager.
Mouthfeel: medium light body with a good carbonation and decent creaminess.
Overall: a nicely refreshing beer; simple but enjoyable.
