22oz bottle with a Duvel Tulip glass
Pours a sligthy hazed golden honey blonde with an immense paper white foam stack. Solid retention efforts leave my glass a mess with the lacy ribbons. Fresh cut citrus fruit, grapefruit and orange with some tropical mango and spice. Some underlying sappy pine and florals to round out. Malt sweetness is nicely subdued here and the acohol as well for that matter. A very nice IPA with a solid citrusy profile and a bit of scrubbing bitterness to it. Dry and clean in the finish with some residual hop linger.

Oh yea, nice looking beer. A bit of a different scent to this brew , I'm thinking funky maltiness with melon notes with slight citrus in the background. A complex nose to this one once you reach. Not totally digging the caramel malt in the flavor profile of this one nor the piney/metallic finish. Not too bad but not my beer when I'm going for an IPA.

Kegged summer 2015; drank 8/14/15 on draft @ Elysian Bar.
Semi-opaque orange appearance.
Off-white head; a curtain of tree-rung lace.
Faint orange citrus notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Faint citrus & faint caramel flavors; inoffensive but very boring. Avoid.

Served on tap into a 12oz glass at the pub. The look is a new version yellow color with a nice head. The smell is citrusy and reminds me of grapefruit. The taste is hoppy and citrusy and is very pleasant but not overbearing. The feel is a little odd, but not unpleasant, with a distinct aftertaste. Overall this is a good beer and I would recommmend trying it

22 oz. bottle - Packaged on 8/26/16:
Pours slightly hazed golden with a white creamy head that lasts and leaves lacing.
The smell is of musty grain, citrus (mainly orange and grapefruit) and honeydew melon.
The taste is of citrus - grapefruit and mandarin orange - with melon and a hint of floral/pine. It is supported by a sweet malt(mildly caramelized). Citrus lingers after a refreshing bitter bite in the dry finish.
Smooth despite the bitterness and slightly noticeable alcohol.
I was "in-between" scores on the overall and went with the higher...There is something very enjoyable and it is certainly one that drinks well. (I would love to buy this is a 6-pack format.) It has a classic American IPA character that is well-done. Hop bitterness and flavor stand out but supported by a nice malt backing that is just sweet enough.
On a personal note, this beer has an interesting name (including the word "break" for me - I rarely have broken a bottle of beer but this one is one of the few. I accidentally dropped it. Fortunately, I found another bottle at the store (Safeway in (west) Bremerton, WA. It was the last bottle on the shelf (which was not the case a couple days before when I originally purchased it. Hopefully, I will find more of this!

Pours into an imperial nonic a slight hazed honey tinged golden with a thin quick to fade white head atop.Fresh floral and tropical fruitiness in the nose, quite fresh smelling, mild caramel malts underneath. The body just gets a tad thin on the back end but it's not bad.Tropical fruits and a hint of grass up front on the palate then a hefty caramel/biscuit maltiness really comes into play, quite balanced.A "solid" offering from Elysian like alot of their stuff I have had....just good and solid.
