Color is a surprising clear orange, but not much evidence of foam on a couple of pours in the Kasteel chalice. Hops are Sorachi Ace and Idaho 7. Dark and spicy flavors with a woody, cedar finish. A bit of grapefruit peel in the aftertaste.
Warm and malty with an increasing bitterness as you sip. Overall this is quite drinkable and interesting, though hard to drink much of with the overdose of hops. Still, it's hard to beat good hops and a clean industrial process. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Haggen Market.
