lots to like about this one, mild as it is. both the fruit and the sourness are on the lighter side of what i feel like has become fashionable, so it drinks refreshing and easy, and nothing about it seems too forced or modern, and i like its easygoing nature. i also like its natural fruit character, not sweet in the least, even at the apex of the fruit being in the front of it, and the low alcohol is also nice, especially since this isnt too acidic to want to drink a lot of. way more of a summer quencher than something that makes sense around holiday time, although i think it has at least three season applicability. light tang, pretty clean but not perfectly so to the extent that its sterile in the taste. the fruit also has some tang it seems, but remains a little generic blackberry-esque like huckleberry can sometimes be in beer. hints of currant and even cranberry with the sourness, dry too, and minimal on the grain side, refreshing for me without lacking anything. its not sweet from the fruit, has some obvious wheat malt to it, and stays light and dry to drink. good berliner here, more traditional than a lot of what is out there under this style heading these days, even with the fruit. good price too. looks like this might have been a collaboration with payette at one time, but the packaging didnt indicate that to me in this edition...

12 ounce bottle - $2.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a golden-light amber body with a vague hint of pink about it. An ultra thin, white ring
Smell: Tart, fruity, berry-toned aroma with a curdled milk lactic undertone and vein of wheatiness.
Taste: Lightly thin layering of wheat. Sweet-tart berry flavor and a dollop of sour cream tied up with a tight zip of suds.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation, a bit fizzy.
Overall: Decent enough, amply berrified and easy to drink.

Huckleberry pours a reddish color, with not much of a head. Sour/tart aroma. Flavor is tart, but not overdone, nice sweet berry flavors mixed in near the finish. Good body and finish. Overall, very tasty, tart, but not too much, sweet, but not too much, everything mixes well.

From the label: "EXPERIENCE BY 07/22/20"
Appearance: The beer pours a pinkish-orange color and it has about the same appearance in the glass, with a little more brown. The body is fairly clear. The beer never develops a head. Carbonation is visible in the glass but the surface remains flat and devoid of a head.
Aroma: There is a slightly souring milk aroma to the beer.
Taste: It tastes a bit like sour milk with a touch of raspberry. There is a shredded wheat flavor at the end.
Mouthfeel: It is light with a touch of tartness.
Overall: It is a beer that teeters on the lower edge of average for a Berliner Weisse. The label states that this contains "a school of huckleberries" and while it does have a color to indicate some berry additions, and it does have a bit of berry flavor, the berry character is very nondescript. I am not likely to buy it again and it is not something I'd readily recommend.

A pink/orange color. Lots of bubbles, but no head.
Muted aroma. Some sweet berry.
Taste also muted. Lightly tart berry.
Sour/tart mouthfeel comes through.
I'll give this a solid meh.
