"He dead!t
Brewed with organic pale and Munich, Crisp 77L crystal, carahelles, special b and chocolate malts and roasted barley. Three kinds of sugar in the boil (light brown, turbinado and brewer's crystals) bittered with palisade and fermented with a Belgian Tripple II yeast. SG 1.070, 6.4% ABV"
On tap at Elysian Fields, The Horror is a dark murky brown with a small sand head leaving fragile lace.
Smell is deep dark malt, cocoa, cured fruit esters.
Nice rich dark taste, the roast is light enough that it could be billed a Belgian stout, dark fruits, esters, chalky and tasty.
Mouthfeel is creamy, medium bodied.
Drinkability is pretty high if you're more into BSDAs then stouts which I am. A very enjoyable Belgian Stout, a style I wish I saw more of....

On tap at Elysian Fields today. Forgot to write down the abv. Oh well; don't believe it was very high.
The beer pours the expected black brown color with OK head retention and pretty good lacing all around. On the nose I get a lot of coffee grounds, along with some dark chocolate. That's pretty much it, but this beer does smell pretty nice. On the palate, I'm less then thrilled. The flavor profile is a bit light and simple, with some roasty malt, light chocolate and coffee. There is also a touch of sour, which frankly really doesn't add a lot to this beer. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and fairly full, although it's still a bit watery as well. Drinkability is OK, but it suffers from a lack of interesting flavor. Frankly, this is pretty boring stuff, and I really can't see myself ordering it again. Oh well...
