Elysian's Goblin Party Pumpkin Milkshake IPA. 12oz can from a 6-pack served in a pint glass. Medium to pale orange amber, mostly clear, with a pretty nice white head. Really good gourd aroma, which is definitely one of the things I'd expect from a beer with this ridiculous description. Flavor does have an IPA profile and tastes of raw, vegetal pumpkin. Not too bitter, but there's definitely an IPA profile in the dryness and in the way it hits the back of the palate. The pumpkin flavor only kind of works.
The can reports this boogies down with vanilla, lactose, and a touch of pumpkin spice. I can see the lactose being there, but the spices is really subtle. Citra and Galaxy, graham cracker crumbs in the mash. Despite that description it's really not that sweet. Solidly drinkable but weird. It will take me a while to get my head around this and decide whether or not I regret picking up a 6 pack. It gets an A for originality though.
