I had this on-tap at Max's during Baltimore beer week. Served in a sample glass.
Appearance: The beer pours a cloudy reddish amber color with a layer of off white head that leaves some mild lacing on the glass.
Smell: Buttery and slightly sweet with some hops. The hops remind me of citrus peel.
Taste: Bitter hops right off the bat with a buttery note behind the hops (maybe they used the seeds?). I do get some pumpkin here, but the hops dominate through the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with lots of tingly carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall: The bitterness crushes the other flavors, but it is an IPA after all. I thought this was a very interesting beer and am glad I got to try it.
