Copenhagen 7/8 2023. 37,5 cl bottle from Mad & Vin, Magasin, Kbh. K. Black label in Observatoriet's usual design with a fine pattern of lines. Like veins in wood.
Pours opaque, murky dark brown with a big off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of dark malts and a bit wood mingling with a slightly funky, tart scent. Red wine and linoleum. Vinegar and unripe currants. Sour cheese.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is tart and sour. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry and crisp.
More tart than dark.
