Hirtshals 13/10 2020. 50 cl bottle from Spar, Magrethevej, Hirtshals. As Vendia Pilsner and holding a ABV of only 4,6. Vendia's usual design with a black label and this time a light green stripe across the label.
Pours clear yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, flimsy patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer.
Aroma is moderately intense with a light, malty sweet odor with light salty and sourish notes. Sweet pale malts, bread. Grass, salty sea breeze.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter undercurrent. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
A bit too sweet for a pilsner in my opinion and a bit on the watery side. But refreshing and fine for a quick lunch.
