Copenhagen 24/5 2020. 50 cl bottle from Supervin.dk webshop. As Vendia Schwarzbier. Black label with burgundy stripe and a declaration that this is 100 per cent hand-crafted beer.
Pours clear dark brown with a red hue. Big off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a medium strong caramel-ish sweetness with hints of brown sugar. Caramel, toffee. Lightly roasted malts. Some sour berries peeking in.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is a bit bitter. Lingers shortly. Semi-dry finish.
Quite solid dark lager with a slow bitter burn and a roasted sweetness.
